I sometimes judge judgemental people.  Then, to put icing on the cake, I might judge myself judging.

How about you?

Have you ever become aware that you are judging people for being judgmental?

I know I have done my share of complaining about people who are complaining, getting angry at people for acting out anger, etc. etc. etc.

As they say in the 12 steps, if you’ve spot it, you got it!

Below is a song lyric of mine that helps me poke fun at such a paradox, while sending love, laughter and acceptance to the part of me seeking to protect me from uncomfortable feelings by putting up a shield of righteous judgments.

My journey has been one of going from…

1. Not being aware that I am judging people for being judgmental

2. Becoming aware and then judging myself for judging people who are being judgmental

3. Laughing at the silliness of it all, which helps me let go of the shield and get in touch with feelings that my judgements were trying to protect me from.

Read this and have a laugh at my ego, and maybe yours as well!

I Like To Judge

By Scott Grace, H.E.P. (Highly Evolved Person)

I like to judge, judge, judge, judge, judge.. judgmental people!

I like to judge, judge, judge, judge, judge.. judgmental people!

Who do they think they are?

They’re too darn critical, much too critical

I’d like to crash their party of one

And tell them they’re just dumb dumb dumb!

Who do they think they are?

They’re so Neanderthal, such Neanderthals

They see the world so black and white

They’re so wrong, I know I’m right!

(chorus) I like to judge, judge, judge, judge, judge.. judgmental people!

I like to judge, judge, judge, judge, judge.. judgmental people!

Who do they think they are?

They act superior, so superior

I wish they would choose to evolve

Then I’d be peaceful, problem solved!

Who do they think they are?

They’re so unspiritual, so not spiritual

I’m evolved and they are not

I say, shift or leave the pot!

(repeat chorus)

Who do they think they are?

They’re so self-absorbed

Much too self-absorbed

Now that I’ve been meditating

Their lack of peace is so frustrating!

Who do they think they are?

They’re all such hypocrites

Such big hypocrites

I’d like to take them down a notch

And kick they’re egos in the crotch (with my ego!)

I like to judge, judge, judge, judge, judge.. judgmental people!

I like to judge, judge, judge, judge, judge.. judgmental people!
